Five friends head out to rural Texas to visit the grave of a grandfather. On the way they stumble across what appears to be a deserted house, only to discover something sinister within. Something armed with a chainsaw.
In celebration of the 50th Golden Anniversary of The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, among the most profoundly influential works in genre film history, Epsilon Spires presents the recently restored film with a live performance by Mozzaleum before the film.
Though it was initially shunned for its violence and banned in some markets, in subsequent years the film has garnered near universal acclaim, and it is now widely recognized to reflect the disillusionment of Vietnam War–era politics and the loosening bonds of family and gender.
